Finally

I had a really big history test 3 days ago, and I am SO happy to be able to put it behind me. As usual, I ended up studying for it in the very last minute (NOT smart), and had to spend the entire (and I really mean Entire) day with my head buried in those books and papers. It was way too much at once! Imagine a test on ALL this: World War 1, World War 2, Russian revolution, the Cold war, the Finnish winter war, and everything else going on in the world up till today like the Cuba crizis, wars in Bosnia, and Yugoslavia etc. etc.. The entire 20th Century to be exact. =/ I think I did okay on the test though. We'll see on Tuesday when I get it back.

It has been nice to be able to relax this weekend without any more tests on my mind. I only have the Tuesday lesson left, and then the course is over :) Yay me for actually pulling through going back to school. And I have come to love history. I never thought I would! I mean I have always been interested in reading about WW2, but now I really feel an interest for everything else as well! I even bought another History book and some history magazines... AND sent in a subscription for one of the mags... Lol :) I hate to study even if it is interesting (just because I HAVE to do it then... I am weird I know), but when I actually get to read about it on my own terms it's just SO interesting!!

And Christmas is coming up really soon... I bet nobody has missed that. Although I have no Christmas spirit what so ever. There is no snow at all outside (very unusual since I live in Sweden and there should be snow by now)... I guess it's all about the global warming effect huh =/ I have hardly bought any Christmas presents at all either. Me and Henrik went to town yesterday and it was soooo crowded. I'm not setting my foot there again until Christmas is over that's for sure! It stresses me out when there is too much people like that. We only managed to get one present (for my dad)... I guess we'll buy the rest at some mall or so.

Don't have any suitable picture to post today, so it will be one of my boy Gordon :) He look pretty cute with that pine cone in his mouth don't ya think? ;)

Wow..that does sound like a very big test! I hope it went well!! :)

I agree that history is really interesting. I'm just VERY bad at remembering the facts...like the dates... *oops*

Good luck with your Christmas shopping!

Hey! :)
*yikes* Tough test! I took History back in 2000, I can certainly recall that there were a LOT of studying before the tests and exams ... I really hope you did well!
I agree with you about Christmas spirit though ... I have none whatsoever, which feels kinda dull ...

Hey Annika and Jessica, thanks for your comments :)

Yeah I am bad at remembering specific dates as well... that's why it is so stressful to study for tests :( Because you just HAVE to bang those dates into your head then (can't say I succeeded well with that part).

It sure feels dull about Christmas, I agree with you Jessica. I would rather not celebrate it at all if I had a choice. But then people would just get disappointed in me =/

Yeah, I know! It's horrible when you're just sitting there with a long list of dates, and you're trying to force them into your head! And then 5 minutes later they are all gone again...

As for Christmas...I usually love the weeks before Christmas, but the actual holilday I don't care much for......

Yeah ... exact dates are never fun, especially where you haven't gotten all the time in the world to learn them either ...

Oooh, maybe we could skip Christmas all together you and I, Sandra?!! *lol* I would REALLY like that, but just like you said: you'd disappoint a lot of people in doing that ...
I have this little "dream" about going to sleep around Lucia and then wake up around the 10th of January ... that would be SO great!
No such luck though ...

Yeah I wouldn't mind skipping it all together =D

I wish it was possible to just take my passport, luggage and just head out of the country this time of the year. There would be no commitments, nothing to worry about. ;)

That just sounds SO great!!!
I REALLY wish I could do that too ... to bad that wouldn't work out :(

I want to spend Christmas ALONE.... just once... how weird does that make me?

Jessica said...

hey, that'd be COOL!!! *me want too* :) Guess that won't be happening anytime soon though ...

Nah.... relatives tend to NOT like that idea.... I'm just tired of Christmas just being about pleasing everyone else....

I couldn't agree more!!!
